Enjoy a lavish High Tea served in the sumptuous rooms of historic Hynson Ringgold House, the riverfront home where George Washington actually slept and dined. Built circa 1743 for a wealthy merchant, the mansion is now the official residence of the president of Washington College. A violinist will serenade you as you enjoy fine teas and a substantial menu of sweet and savory treats, complete with a complementary glass of sherry.

There are two seatings for the tea, at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.

Located at 106 Water Street (at the corner of Water and Cannon Streets), the Hynson Ringgold House is an easy walk from the heart of the commercial district on High and Cross Streets. Parking is available at the Chestertown Marina and Wilmer Park, both a short block away.
